Kamaka
Originating from Hawaii, Kamaka is a world-renowned brand and original maker of Hawaiian ukuleles. With over 100 years of history in making ukuleles, the family-owned and run business continues to deliver its popular instruments to players and musicians worldwide. All Kamaka ukuleles feature a distinct design – made from Hawaiian Koa wood with a lacquer finish to show fine grain highlights. Played by many great ukulele players including George Harrison, Ohta San (the father of the ukulele), and Jake Shimabukuro (ukulele superstar), Zenith stocks a variety of ukuleles from Kamaka, ranging from 4 to 6 strings and offers the figure 8 and pineapple shape.
The company was founded in 1916 by Samuel Kaialiilii Kamaka. He began crafting Koa wood ukuleles in his home for years before opening his one-man shop. Today, all Kamaka ukuleles are handcrafted in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Kamaka Ukulele factory.
Visit Zenith Music today to try out some ukuleles! Our team can help you with choosing a ukulele and assist with all other music needs.
