The Concert ukulele features a larger figure eight shaped body than the Soprano (Standard) models with a unique headstock, designed by Sam Kamaka Jr., that was inspired by early Polynesian sailing vessels. Affectionately nicknamed, “Mama’s ukulele,” the Concert ukulele is the perfect combination of size and sound. It’s comfortable to hold and play while resonating the sound and tone of a larger body instrument. The Concert ukulele is a favorite among ukulele instructors and performers alike, and offers ample room to move fingers up and down the fingerboard.
Since 1916, Kamaka Hawaii, Inc. has prided itself on producing only ukuleles of the finest quality — durable, exquisite instruments that improve with age. Like the ukuleles, the company itself continues to withstand the test of time. The company’s longevity shows its commitment to both customer and employee alike, and reflects other important values as well.
