Augustine

Augustine Strings was the first company to develop nylon guitar strings for classical guitars. In the 1940s, Albert Augustine found it difficult to source quality strings. He began experimenting with new materials and collaborating with guitarist Andrés Segovia. They eventually created strings composed of a core nylon multifilament. These new strings shaped the modern sound of classical guitars as we know it today.

Today, Augustine continues to make some of the best classical guitar strings in the world. They are used by players of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. The company remains committed to nurturing the musical careers of guitarists everywhere, a philosophy that has guided them for decades.
