La Bella Gold Flats are the latest take on the classic flat-wound bass string. The proprietary golden alloy ribbon wire used for the exterior wrap adds a tonal mid-range unlike any other flat wound on the market. La Bella Gold Flats also offer more attack and are slightly softer to the touch than traditional stainless steel flat wounds. The beautiful gold finish of these Flats will look great on any vintage or modern bass.
All standard bass sets are LONG scale length. The 1st (G), 2nd (D), and 3rd (A) strings are 38” from ball-end to silk/taper. The 4th (E) string is 36 ¾” from ball-end to silk/taper. Only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post or else the string will break.
