Notably, a string-through body design transmits string resonance straight through the mahogany body delivering massive sustain and response. A diagonal string layout matches Guild’s compensated stop bar design first introduced in the early 1970s.

1. Bridge – Hum Canceling – This position has the most “edge” or “bite”. Overwound for a big, powerful tone without sounding too dark, a great tool to push an amp into singing distortion. Perfect for solos or in your face rhythm parts, the HB-2+ humbucker possesses a bold, rich tone that is equally capable in any musical style.
2. Bridge + Neck – Hum Canceling – This position combines the tonalities of the neck and bridge humbuckers. Thick, creamy mids, big, round bass and clear trebles make this a great all-around tone.
3. Neck – Hum Canceling – This position produces a warm, round tone great anything from singing lead lines to clean rhythm lines.
