The D-140 models from Guild are performance-driven dreadnoughts with all the playability, tone, and vibe that have made Guild a go-to name for discerning players for over 70 years. The D-140 Cherry Burst adds a new color option to the ever-popular D-40 and D-140 lineup, pairing a classic Cherry Burst finish that contrasts beautifully with Ivoroid binding and Mother-of-Pearl inlays in the rosette and headstock. Premium specs like all solid tonewoods, bone nut/saddle, and Guild’s Premium quilted gig bag with microfleece interior make the D-140 a professional level instrument packed with incredible value.

This full-bodied and powerful dreadnought provides guitarists with a classic acoustic sound and balanced voicing from its all-solid tonewoods. Solid Sitka spruce for the top and solid African Mahogany for the back and sides are a prime combination, scalloped bracing and rosewood fingerboard and bridge give this instrument a punch and tonality that define the Guild sound.

Additional premium features include Guild Vintage 18 open gear tuners with 18:1 gear ratio, Ivoroid binding, and a bone nut/saddle. A mother-of-pearl rosette and Guild’s iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s models complete the package. Ships with a Guild Premium Acoustic Gig Bag.

The Westerly Collection pays homage to an important period in Guild’s early history, when Guild outgrew the beloved Hoboken, New Jersey factory, and moved production to Westerly, Rhode Island in 1967. Finding a home in a former furniture manufacturing building, Guild took advantage of the additional space the new location had to offer, and improved upon the production layout left behind in Hoboken.

With a fresh start, highly skilled employees, and plenty of room to grow, Guild flourished. It was not long before the Westerlyfactory became renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and the introduction of many beloved Guild acoustics. The dedication to innovation was apparent, with meticulous attention to detail. Inspired by this golden era, the Guild Westerly Collection carries on the tradition of impeccable workmanship and unwavering excellence by incorporating high-quality materials and classic Guild designs into each instrument.
